I got a leak of the new Jay Reatard album

and if Last.fm is any indication, a lot of other people did as well. I for one will be looking forward to a real hunk of wax to play it on, because it's damn good. Nothing quite tops the Singles 06-07 collection for me, but there are a lot of strong songs here. Most notable is probably the closer, "There Is No Sun." Lovely strings backing up Jay? Yeah, mean, but the song itself is still a simple punk-like hook and angsty lyrics. Reatard's bag of tricks is not especially huge, but it's pretty rad.
